Please note the below policy regards the software policy. You can find our website's privacy policy (socialrx.co.uk) here

Customer Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you become a user of the Social Rx Connect application (the application).

Personal information we collect

When you use the Social Rx Connect application we automatically collect certain information about you (name, e-mail address, telephone number, job role, activity within the application) and about the device you are using (IP address and time zone).

How do we use your personal information?

We use your personal information to maintain a professional relationship with you and have the capability to identify you and respond to any queries or resolve problems. It is important for professional and legal obligations that we are able to maintain an audit trail of your activity when utilising the application. We also anonymise patient/client data, when authorised by our customers, for statistical and analytical purposes; this makes it safe to use as individuals cannot be identified.

Sharing your personal information

We do not routinely share your personal information. However, we may be required to share your personal information to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Your rights

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Please note that we process your personal information in order to fulfil the contract that we have with you or your employer or where necessary to safeguard our legitimate rights as a company. This processing is not optional and does not legally require your consent.

Data retention

We will retain the limited personal information we hold about you for the duration of any contract that we have with you or your employer and for a period beyond that where you might potentially be a future customer. Note that once the contract has terminated you may exercise your right to request deletion of your personal information.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.

Data Policy

Data In Transit

All of the data that is transmitted to and from our website uses a secure connection. The padlock you see in the browser notifies you that this website is an https website and that we use encryption to send all of our data. This connection ensures the data in transit is protected between your device and the website. The website uses SSL (secure sockets layer) protocol to protect the data.

Data Storage

The data is stored on a secure server which is hosted on the HSCN (Health and Social Care Network) network. The data is stored in an enterprise-level database to ensure data security.

Cookie Policy

What are cookies and why do we use them?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or application. Your web browser then sends these cookies back to the website on each subsequent visit. The cookies on Social Rx Connect are only used for enabling the website to function effectively and as a result, they are mandatory and cannot be switched off. Cookies enable a user to:

  • Move more efficiently between webpages
  • Remember the preferences you may have set during a previous website visit
  • Enable the website to function effectively and efficiently

Cookies come in two flavours – session cookies and persistent cookies. As the term suggests, session cookies only remain until you close your online session and close your browser. Persistent cookies, again as the term suggests, remain on your device for the period defined within the cookie.
