Promatica Digital developed the Social Rx Connect platform as social prescribing became known to the NHS. Social prescribing being a new area, there was a need to organise and manage this new service. The publication of the NHS Five Year Forward View further accelerated the implementation of social prescribing.
The software solution was originally built with input from commissioners, the voluntary care sector, primary care, and community providers.

Our journey
Social Rx Connect was first commissioned by Bexley Voluntary Service Council and CCG in 2016. They requested Social Rx to develop a bespoke social prescribing software platform.
The social prescribing platform has benefitted from receiving input from a cross section of end users. Furthermore, we received formal external assessment that allowed our developers to optimise functionality across the system.

Ever since Social Rx Connect was launched in Bexley, the software continued its development and growth. New integrations, functionalities and partnerships have shaped the solution into a full end-to-end social prescribing solution. This means we can help track service users as they pass through their individual journeys, as well as provide data on demographics, attendances and outcomes achieved. In addition, our platform enables providers to connect with link workers directly in the system.
